Notes for the Artist

These scenes should be lit “hollywood style” as if only cool ambient light is illuminating the scene, but the regular warm light sources in the room are turned off. Generally speaking, no further adjustments will be made by the Game Engine (other than cropping, zooming, and compositing of overlays on the backdrop layer.)

Characters in Interior Nighttime Dark Room Scenes

Standing characters will be lit with Soft Front Standing.

Seated characters are not usually depicted in the dark. They should activate a light source to change to the Lantern Lighting model, for instance. But, if required, they will be lit with a brightness and contrast adjusted version of either Overhead Sitting or Hard Front Sitting, depending on the specific composition of the scene.
