usually writteh khet in these lessons, but others will write it as: heth, het, chet, cheth. or even ches.

this might be the hardest letter name to say. it starts with a throaty friction sound like the end of “loch” in lochness monster. it might help if you say the sound at the beginning of “coat” and then the sound of “home” and try to make a sound half-way in between.

the name of the letter itself rhymes with hate, but rhyming with bet (like in poker) is also acceptable.

never the English “ch” as in “cheese”
