====== Area ====== An **Area** is a set of [[Location|Locations]] that can be traversed by the [[Player]] or by NPC characters, or that can have interactions that impact the rendering of nearby or adjacent [[Location|Locations]]. The Game Engine will tend to think of an Area as a whole unit, and will load certain information about the Area into memory all at once, and track its current status. This is not to say that things can't be happening in other Areas at the same time, but they will have to be kept alive and managed more specifically by Game-specific code or the contents of the active Quest objectives. ----- [[Game Engine Details]]
